Childhood's End Book Review

Childhood's end is a dystopian novel written by acclaimed writer Arthur C. Clarke who also wrote 2001: A Space Odyssey. The book is well-written and has some good talking points. The SyFy TV series is well-done to.
Aliens come down to earth, and do pretty much nothing, but get rid of war. They make a utopia, or do they?
Language: One use of hell and one use of the n-word
Violence: Essentially the whole human race fades away. Everyone dies, but it is never described and nobody was killed. The human race is cut off from having children and they slowly die off. One man is obliterated and a kid is almost killed by a tidal wave. References to murder.
Sexual Content: People kiss and there is one reference to contraceptives in passing.
Drug and Alcohol: People smoke and drink, never to excess.
Other Content: The alien's appearance can seem scary to some, and also, may raise religious questions. Although further on in the book some of the questions you may think will be put to rest.
