La La Land movie review

La La Land is simply put a musical masterpiece.

10/10

La La Land tells the stories of Mia, a barista who dreams to be an actress, and Sebastin, a jazz pianist who dreams of one day owning his own jazz club. Mia (Academy Award Winner Emma Stone) and Sebastin (Ryan Gosling) eventually fall in love.

La La Land is set against the gorgeous backdrop of the musical Los Angeles. The film opens with a big number, that you may have seen mimicked on this year's Golden Globes. La La Land is a happy movie. It deals with people trying to find their dreams, and with so many films being about wars or tragedies, its good to have a movie that is heartfelt and good.

In conclusion, La La Land is my favorite movie of 2016. Its joyous, and musical, something you don't see all the time, and it beckons back to an old Hollywood, that we all love to see.

La La Land took home 6 Oscars, including best Director, and Best Actress. It was nominated for 14.
La La Land is in theaters now and stars: Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, and John Legend.
